Christmas morning at the Stinnett's

This year we decided to have Christmas together on Christmas morning. We all contributed to a nice breakfast, played around, and opened presents. I think we all enjoyed our time together.

Funny Papa!

Papa took Eli's hat and was making funny faces Christmas Eve. He was definately in a good mood! Can you tell he is a kid at heart? I love you Daddy!

Christmas at the Simpsons.....

I love Christmas time at my Moma and Daddy's. We play Chinese bingo, open presents, joke around, eat, eat and eat some more.... I was really glad I was able to get photos of the kids with there Papa and Nannie Chic Chic.... We love our time with family.

No snow? Make a snowman!

Annie and I decided to make a snowman cake.... might as well, I don't think we will get enough snow to make a real one! By the time we were through, she had icing all over her shirt. We had a blast!!

The Christmas play this year was great. Thank you Carrie and Becca for a job well done! Doesn't Annie look a little like Johnboy? Kinda weird huh? But she is still beautiful even with a beard.

Before

Today Annie and I were sick. We both are battling a chest cold. This afternoon, Annie pulled some cookie dough out of the fridge and made her own masterpeice and wrote a note to her dad and brother saying...."Only for TERDS LIKE ME.....Annie" As you can tell from the before and after picture, they did not pay attention to the note.

where has the time went?

Okay.... I know it has been quite some time since I updated my blog. I am a busy woman, don't you know! Work has been very busy for me lately and the kids always keep me running. Johnboy loves his new job and we cannot wait until he finally gets paid since it has been so long. God is so good. Lets never forget him. I know we are all busy, but never get too busy that you leave God out. You know, I was thinking today...Where has the year went to? Seems like yesterday we were going to the beach and not it is Thanksgiving. I want to take a moment to give God thanks. I thank God for dying on the cross for me, giving me a wonderful family and friends, giving me a nice home, great job and I thank God that he always takes care of me. Thank you Daddy God!!! I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving and remember to slow down in life and take time to give God thanks!!!

I am so proud!!!!

I love my husband so much!!! We have been praying for quite some time that the right job would open up for him. And it did.... Thank you Jesus!!! He was just hired with Moore County Schools and I am so proud of him. He is an awesome husband, father, and friend. I love you Johnboy!!!

chillin' at the house

We love to have fun at the house.... Look at Annie eating a snack, Eli making funny faces, and Jacob and Logan chillin' on my couch. The best times are at home. Sometimes, Eli and Annie play fight in the middle of the floor until they get too roudy! Home sweet home!!!

Eli loses weight....

Wrestling season is coming up and Eli has to lose weight..... He wants to wrestle in the 171 class. He weighed in at 176 today after breakfast. I took some quick shots of him after his bath. He did not know I was going to put them on the blog. It is hard to beleive that last year Eli was over 200 lbs. Wrestling has been good discipline for Eli. He enjoys it a lot!! We are proud of him. This year will be a very hard wrestling season for him. He has to wrestle off with a senior for his spot on the dual team. He will also be wrestling against a lot of upperclassmen from other schools since he is in one of the bigger weight classes.

Grandparents are great!

Annie and Eli love to spend time with their grandparents. I will post pictures of Nanny and Papa Chic Chic when I can remember to bring the camera to their house. Here are some pic's of Eli and Annie with Nannie and Poppie Ree.

Silly Annie!!

Look Mom, No splint!

We took Eli back to the doctor today and they took the splint off. He can still see a small space but feels like he should be okay. He has to go back in 6 months for another x-ray. I took a picture of him without the splint while he played on the computer.

Saturday at home.

Today I did not have anything planned so I had a Saturday at home and I am thankful for it. I washed my car, took Eli's bed down, cooked chili for Pastor Appreciation day and I cleaned the house. If you know anything about me, a day like this is very rare for me. Eli has been sick all week so I told Johnboy that I was going to keep him home Friday night and through Saturday to try and bring him back to good health. He seems to be doing better. Last night he layed in bed most of the night like he has most of the week. When he woke up this morning he felt better. No fevers today so we hope to be able to take him to church tomorrow. I NEED MORE DAYS LIKE THIS!!!!
